Center for vocational rehabilitation
The center for vocational rehabilitation carries out team-based planning, performance and assessment of programs of vocational and employment rehabilitation as an integral part of comprehensive rehabilitation. Our work covers the areas of healthcare, employment and pension and disability insurance and legislation. Our programs are based on contemporary rehabilitation doctrine and include team work, active role of users and connection of environmental resources. Our work is based on comprehensive assessment of functional abilities of an individual, of his or her work endurance and efficiency, learning skills, work behavior and of the necessary adjustments and adaptations of his or her tasks and work environment.
Basic programs:
- Specialized diagnostic assessment programs in cases of complex diseases or conditions as the basis for extended evaluation of functional abilities of an individual and for the creation of an individual program of rehabilitation.
- Comprehensive, individualized programs of rehabilitation for problem coping and improving cognitive and behavioral functioning of an individual (improvement of physical and mental functioning as a preparation for safe return to work)
- Programs of vocational guidance for adolescents with developmental disorders or individuals returning to educational programs after disease or injuy.
Our goal is helping persons with impairments to secure and keep as well as advance in suitable employment and thus contribute to their social integration. The center cooperates with the Development center for employment rehabilitation in the creation of professional knowledge and experience in the field of vocational and employment rehabilitation.
The center for vocational rehabilitation of URI-Soča has been granted SIQ certificate (Slovenian Institute of Quality and Metrology) ISO 9001:2008 for its system of management and Inet certificate (International Certification Network).
