The long-term goal of the CC-BME (http://www.bmecenter.com/en/) is to put Slovenia on a global map as an incubator of the most innovative companies from the market of the most exciting biomedical devices in the world. The three-year program is oriented primarily in the research and development of products and applications that reduce the invasiveness of medical interventions and increase the reliability and accuracy of diagnosis. Five projects within the program include synergistic combination of development of new therapeutic sources and new or significant improvement of surveillance and diagnostic sensors and control directly or remotely the devices, the patient, or the therapeutic intervention. URI - Soca participates as a holder of clinical and experimental research and evaluation in the project SAMinZDRAV, which includes research and development of novel sensors and wireless and remote communications between home of "patient", device and medical expert centers.
